I'm using Noom. It is a full exercise/weight loss app (free). I like the reminders and while I'm walking every 5 minutes it will tell me how far I've walked. It will work with a heart rate monitor (I do not use) if you so desire.

I'm using CardioTrainer. It's free and works great.

This is a little off topic but the C25K Pro app by Guy Hoffman is great if you decide to take the step to start running. It's helped me get off to a great start.

I use Runkeeper and highly recommend it. It does show the route progress as you walk or run.

I use Endomondo and highly recommend it. If you listen to music when you walk, it will show you which song you were playing on the map as you walked/run/biked/etc. It does use gps, so it is a battery hog, but all of them are. You can even link it to a bluetooth heartrate monitor. The other thing I like about it is that you can see your progress online, as it loads all of your data online.

I haven't tried any of the other ones so can't speak about it comparitively, but realistically all of them are good for tracking your progress.

I also use Noom. I believe cardio trainer is the exercising program plug in used with Noom. I love it because it doesn't just track run/walk. It also will track anything you do and give you credit for it including yard work and such. Very cool.
