Well ASTRO added ads so im not sure how long i will be using it. EStrongs seems to be pretty good. I would rather pay for Astro than have ads even though the ads arent that bad.
Yeah APPBRAIN is helpful PLUS you can see what your friends have installed on their phones.
Maybe these lists can also have a small explanation of what the app does for those that are going to be new to the platform.
For starters:
HandcentSMS - great texting replacement
Wikidroid - mobile wiki
Google Sky Map - have to see it to believe it
Kindle Reader - if you have a kindle account you can download your books to your phone to read
Hey guys, AppBrain lets you share lists of apps you have installed and interesting apps. I haven't seen anyone taking advantage of this in the forums yet - but here's what you can do! I haven't even downloaded this yet, I'm just making an install list!

Need for Speed Shift, I think.
I love Trapster... set up an account and tag locations every time you see a cop running radar or laser. It also keeps track of known speed trap locations, has all the red light and speed camera locations saved, and connects to all the other users so you almost ALWAYS know when you're coming up on a cop. Leave it running in the background and it alerts you every time you're approaching something. In a lot of ways, it's even better than a radar detector. Plus, the more users we can get, the better it will be.
I use Ringdroid quite a lot to create ringtones.
I hope the next time I move I get a real easy phone number. Something like 222-2222. People would say "Mitch, how do I get a hold of you?" I would say, "Just press 2 for a while! And when I answer, you will know that you have pressed 2 enough." - Mitch Hedberg
Don't know shinola about which apps to put on my "X" that I will pick up at BB tomorrow, but did come across this site....
