I thought I would share this game for anyone that enjoys first person shooting games. This one is fantastic. Here, you play the role of a contract hitman.
I started playing this game and immediately loved it. However, there were a few things that slowed the progress down.
You earn money for every mission you complete. You can then purchase ammunition, guns, and medical supplies in the store. Along with cash money, the game also requires credits which are used buy energy or can be exchanged for cash. Each mission requires the use of 3 or 5 energy units, and here in lies the slow progression. When you do not have enough energy to start a mission, you must either exit the game and not return for a period of time or click on the ads and download apps (free or paid) and recieve credits for these downloads.
This took me some time to figure out since I run adfree android which removed the ads from my game. I did not like the idea of downloading all these apps and cluttering my app drawer and sd card. I started researching and found a hack/glitch on the iphone version and thought I would try it on my X. So, I take no credit for this information.
These are the steps that I use:
*Ads must be enabled
1) Open Contract Killer and download 4-11 apps for the credits (this is a must or this cheat will not work)
2) Exit the game with the back arrow, select yes, and open Root Explorer
3) Navigate Data-> Data -> com.glu.android.ck and open this folder
4) Open app_etc and delete the file tapjoy.dat
5) Press the back arrow hard key one time
6) Press and hold the Home key until recent apps appears
7) Select Contract Killer to open (you can skip the two intro screens when they appear by tapping the screen)
- When the game loads I recieve 117 credits
- I exit the app in step 2, root explorer is already up and I repeat 4 through 7 again (the tapjoy.dat file reappears). I don't know if the number of credits I recieve is correlated to the number of apps I downloaded (which was 4 or 5).
This took some time to build my credits, but is worth it. I disable ads again and now have hours of entertainment at any time. If anyone finds an easier way, let me know.
I am currently rooted in android 2.3.3(gingerbreak). I have lots of apps installed with root permissions so I'm sure. I tried to access the folder via "Android > data > com.glu.android.ck > (when I get here I only see a "files" folder"... I'm not sure wtf is going on. I also looked inside the "glu" folder and I see my "gunbros" folder(with stuff in it), but the "ck" folder is empty.
If you use root explorer, open that. Select data>data>com.glu.android.ck. The first folder in there should be app_etc. The file that needs to be deleted is not on the sd card, but in the phones internal memory.
Edit: I just looked at the folder you've navigated to, it's the wrong one. "android>data" is on the sd card. You need to be on the phones internal memory.
I would imagine there is similar results as they are from the same company. Let us know if you try it and have success. I was thinking dh challange would do the same.
