Do you have problems getting a GPS Fix? No problem, GPS Aids will help you. You have two modes: native and forced (this last need a rooted device). The native method use a hidden option to inject into the GPS the XTRA data, it sometime fail, but actually it’s working at 98%. The forced method, simply download a file to your SD and then copy it to your system folder (you need root and BusyBox).

Is this just like A-GPS (assisted GPS)? Basically the device downloads a file with the current location of satellites to acquire a faster fix. I have a USB GPS dongle that does this and it is much faster but in order to be helpful you have to update it regularly.
