He is prolly talking about trapster and that is not how it works. Trapster relies on members and users reporting where known speed traps. They show up on the app which uses your gps.

NOPE neither one... this one requires a monthly subscription that is live... not relied on others input and not speed cams... if the cop moves it moves... the company that put on the GPS devices on police cars made this for smartphones... but we cant figure out who made it

Well, coming from a cop, that's not possible. Only high tech police departments have gps installed in the cars. And those that do, its a secure system that is on an encrypted radio frenquency. Once the gps is installed, the manufacturer and installing company have nothing to do with the system anymore. They cannot even remote access it, so it can't be broadcasted.

Trust me, if there was a way to see locators on a map, I'd get it for myself. But, it's impossible.

Orange County Sherrif's Department here in SoCal has GPS on all their cars, but it's not accessible. I couldn't imagine any department would allow that information to be released, and if the installing company released it that gear would be taken out of all the cars pretty quickly.

What's more, speed cameras are illegal in California, so unless the app has lots of users who are very active and constantly provide accurate info about cops' whereabouts, the app would be worthless.

The idea of a company selling GPS info from cop cars is absurd. Even if they managed to start it up, they would be burned at the stake the first time an officer was killed in an ambush by criminals alerted by the service.

    What a scam...

From the website: The way the system works is that drivers upload the location of speed traps and cameras as they see them. This data can then be transferred to your device to warn you when you approach a problem area. The iPhone radar detector app constantly updates the information and you receive instant, up to the minute updates.

I'm SURE that's going to work well.

Not possible... No one is going to have access to any Law Enforcement GPS database.
Your friend is full of it.
