just noticed that the rubber flap that goes over the camera lens and pins back is a little different on the seidio website and the meritline website. wonder which way it'll be. and yes it has a rubber flap that u can see in the pics and the tab that sticks out pins back into the slot on the opposite side of the case. that's a nice feature that the otterbox lacks based on the pics. but the otterbox has buttons built into it for the front buttons. which tradeoff do I want?

My god that thing is ugly... why would you desecrate such a beautiful device with that thing?

I believe the Otterbox does provide a hard transparent cover over the camera lens. So the lens is protected with the Otterbox, it's just a clear protection.

I just ordered up the Seidio. Hope it was the right call to make. The only thing that had me still looking at the Otterbox was that the Defender covers the buttons. But I like the fact that I can remove the "rugged" parts and have an Innocase Surface if I would want. I like having options.

I like the pictures too. However, I had a Seidio for my BB Storm. That big huge clip that holds it in the holster always had a tendency to snag on things releasing the phone. Would love to hear other's feedback.

With regards to the Otterbox, the Defender used two side clips to hold the phone in the holster. However, the grade of plastic was too brittle for the duty it was put under and would crack. I had two of these. But Otterbox stands behind their stuff, they replaced each one without question.

    It is a tough decision.

wasn't aware of the otterbox having a clear lens over the camera. but if it gets scratched then it'd be a bad thing from then on. plus you'd prob lose a little bit of clarity with the plastic i'd think. I like the rubber flap idea much better.

The newer ones ive seen have a lock on the holster clip so that shouldnt be a problem.

Touch screen otterbox products are crap. The built in screen protector is a joke more dirt and dust gets in then ever. Had one for my storm and I switched to a plain case as its seal was ****ty and the bulk was worse. I work construction too but the otter for my storm was horrid. Also there is a plastic cover for the camera and yes it pretty much makes taking pictures useless another feature that i hated as I do a lot of service work and instant pic/email is why i now have a smart phone.
