It's a crap shoot when buying non oem batteries. I know of people that have success. Personally for me I've tried three different non oem batteries and two will not charge with my phone the third will charge but does not last. My stock battery last longer. I know the BH6X is the only oem extended battery. To me it's not much of an upgrade.

Be careful with non-oem's. I have two that will not charge in the phone and the phone will not display remaining battery percentage. The phone powers off without warning and you'll have to swap batteries to get it to power back on.

I've never gotten a decent phone battery from eBay. I bought the extended battery from Verizon and it works great, it's not worth trying to save money because junk will end up costing you more.

I don't know what that case is, but unless it has a larger back cover, most likely an extended battery wont fit in it. I'm not trying to discourage you from getting a non oem battery, just giving you personal experience feedback. I no longer use my non oems but keep one at work and one at home for battery emergencies. If you're ok with the phone not recognizing the battery, go for it. You can only lose a few bucks if you don't like it.

A couple things you might want to consider to increase your current battery life:
If you're rooted, undervolt the phone
Boot to recovery and wipe battery stats (haven't tried on the X but worked on a old phone)
    Use wifi when available
Change battery settings in battery manager (if on a blur rom or stock phone)
    Remove un-needed widgets
Lower scan intervals of widgets and power draining apps
    STOP DOWNLOADING PORN!!! j/k

I use autostarts and startup. Cleaner, have all the bloat frozen and have stock rom. How do you undervolt nowadays, I liked it on 2.1 and never did it on my 2.2. And btw the tpu case is the silicone case that is smooth, its like the verizon one but I have the argyle one, its just smooth silocone

If it's silicone it may stretch to accomodate a larger battery. I use QuickClock to undervolt. It automatically calculates the lowest vsels your phone can operate at. Also, don't use any task killers. They'll only force the phone to keep restarting countless apps. Autostarts is a little different, it should be fine.

Since your phone is stock (and obviously rooted if you're using autostarts), you might want to look into deodexing it or flashing a custom rom. The stock phone is odexed. Use root explorer or some other file manager to navigate to /system/app. Notice that every app has two files. Deodexing packages them both into one and the phone uses less effort to open and run them.
