Hello Forum Members,
I picked up my Motorola Droid X yesterday and the only thing I bought was the screen protector, but realized when I got home that I wanted a kickstand because it would be infamy to not watch videos on the gorgeous 4.3 inch capacitive touch screen. I came back today to Verizon and got the case. If you are in the Military, an educator or working for the Government you're qualify for a discount so be sure to ask for it. Also Verizon Wireless currently have buy two accessories and get 20 percent off and buy 3 accessories and get 25 percent off (unfortunately this does not stack with other discounts). It was somewhat busy at the store I went to and it took awhile to get help. Once I did get help, the customer service was excellent. The associate did not mind if I tried on the case and what not. There was a carbon fiber one that also made me contemplate, but the reason I went with this case was for the kickstand functionality. Two gripes I have with the Droid X would be the lack of a built in kickstand and front facing camera, but other than that, the phone is superb, as I think it is a worthy upgrade going from my beloved Motorola Droid (although I will miss the custom roms) but that's a whole different thread. I am not usually a case kind of person, but this case is pretty impressive. It is hard plastic, but covered with genuine leather. For 24.99, I must say I am very happy with the case (considering that the Apple Bumper costs 29 dollars and it's mere hard plastic). The case does not add much bulk, feels solid, but also since it is covered with leather, it has a nice softer feel to it. The kickstand works great, it is hard to open however, but I am sure after using it for awhile it will become easier to open.
Pros:
-Provides kickstand functionality (great for watching videos)
-Price
-Looks professional
-Feels solid
-Looks expensive
-Does not add much bulk (especially compared to the Body Glove)
-Provides pretty good protection
Cons:
-The leather is glued onto hard plastic (maybe it will start peeling?)
-Case is very hard to put on and take off, it requires a lot of prying
-Kickstand is hard to open out (but maybe it will loosen up after using it, the hinge just hangs on too tight, but I guess it's better than it not staying closed)
-The phone cannot be charged while using the kickstand because the micro usb port is at the bottom and
