Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint Film Review [PICS]

I purchased this Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint protector from eBay.com.

Package Contents:
It comes in is a yellow sleeve that is strong enough to prevent it from bending. My package came sandwiched between two cardboard pieces as well to prevent them from bending. Inside the package, it comes with two Anti-Fingerprint protectors, a squeegee (not included in the pictures), and a Cleaning micro-fiber cloth.





Application:
It's a fairly simple application process. You peel the tab off half way and apply the screen protector slowly onto the Droid X. This doesn't use an application spray like ones included in the ZAGG Invisibleshields. I didn't use the cleaning micro-fiber cloth because I applied the protector as soon as I received my Droid X. I'd also be hesitant to use it because it's not a lint free cloth. The squeegee that is included with the package is useless. You don't really have to use it. If you see bubbles, you can slowly pull the screen protector off and on until the bubbles aren't there. I installed it from the bottom of my screen to the top. That's a big mistake on my part [read further].

Impressions:
I'm loving it. The texture of the screen protector is nice and smooth. It kind of reminds me of a Garmin GPS's screen texture. The matte finish gives it a good look imo. As I mentioned before, I installed it from the bottom and moved onto the top. If you buy this, don't do that because the screen protector won't cover a small section of the MOTOROLA logo. Just check out the images and you can see it. Install it from the top and go down. The protector does not cover the entire screen, but most of it. Fingerprints are barely picked up on this screen so I'm very satisfied with it!

Conclusion:
I recommend you buy this if you don't want fingerprints on your screen. The matte finish looks nice and the texture is smooth. The included accessories are useless, just because you don't need them. The size of the screen protector is not 1:1 to the screen size, but is fairly close.

Err...O.O That's just weird, but the matte finish is definitely blurrier than the screen when it's naked. I definitely like the look of the matte screen though.

I have the verizon's anti glare and this one reminds me of that. I don't like the one I have. I like it feeling like glass.

If you like the smooth feel of glass then the Steinheil Ultra Clear is for you. Smooth feel? Yes. Very clear? Yes. Fingerprints? Yes. Carry a cloth.

I have to say that it all depends on your preferences. Ultra Clear and Anti-Fingerprint are both viable options for screen protectors.

I just ordered this. Not for screen protection, but for the fingerprints. I'm not sure I'll like the matte finish or the feel, but I'm getting tired of wiping fingerprints off all the time. If I don't like it, I'll just toss it.

I installed it yesterday. I like the dramatic reduction of fingerprints and the feel. I don't like the SDE (screen door effect), like I'm watching a projection TV, and even more difficulty seeing the screen in sunlight. I thought it would be an improvement. So far, I'm keeping it though.
