Zagg vs. Steinheil

I started with the Steinheil and have now replaced it with the Zagg. My subjective opinion is that the Zagg is easier to install correctly and it certainly resists fingerprints compared to the Steinheil Ultra Crystal.

The Steinheil was cut slightly too big in my estimation. The Zagg fits easily.

Zagg comes with a nice squeegee and the Steinheil had a piece of cardboard. It's easier to get air bubble out from under the Zagg.

I bought the Steinheil based on reviews here in these forums. Buy the Zagg.

I agree, I love the Zagg I have on my DX and iPod touch. Great product for sure.

I don't have any personal experience with the Zagg, but the Steinheil doesn't seem beatable in my opinion. It attracts fingerprints a bit too much, but other than that it's perfect.

My wife just bought the Steinheil, the one that doesn't show finger prints and it is a lot nicer than the Ultra Crystal. It feels like it has a texture to it and is easier to use Swype. I can't comment on the Zagg but I won't buy the Ultra Crystal again because of the finger prints.

I can't see a use fore either on my X.
Never had them on my D1 or DI either....Screens are still scratch free and the feel of bare glass rules.

hmmm.. Hadn't thought that the X actually has pretty resilient glass on it's own. It's not that gorilla glass stuff is it? I'll have to searchy. I keep mine in the verizon case/holster where the face is protected by the holster. The thought of bare glass is intriguing.

For an opinion on the topic, using Steinheil Ultra Crystal for months now on the same sheet and absolutely love it for what it does and if I weren't brave enough to use nothing at all it's my only choice. I've heard a post or two of folks actually washing sheets off and reusing them.. One guy said he's got the same sheet that's outlasted two phones.

I love the feel of bare glass as well, I think it has the Gorilla glass just like the iPhone, but I just get paranoid lol and feel the need that it makes me feel better know that it is protected lol

That's what I thought, this has inspired me to actually go naked... lol. I am usually really good with my devices and rarely drop them, but I guess that's what insurance is for

I found the Zagg cover to be sticky to the touch and took it off after only 3 days. I'm using Clarivue now.
