I was attempting to calibrate my battery with CM7 and noticed that every time I plugged the wall charger in with my battery fully drained, the phone turned itself on. With other roms, this didn't happen, the phone would just get juiced up without turning itself on. Is that normal for CM7? Thanks.

Yes it happens to me as well... perhaps because it is still in beta...
Nope completely normal for Cyanogenmod based roms. just let it sit there and charge.. put it in airplane mode if you want so that nothing is drawing on it and let it charge
