I tried to copy a new boot animation into /system using Root Explorer, but it won't let me. It says "sorry, this is read only". I've changed my boot animations before that were in /system, but for some reason I can't change it now? I have Chevy's unthemed SSX 2.2 and Android version 2.3.7, if that makes any difference.
The top right of the app has a R/O R/W toggle. You just need to toggle it to R/W in System.

you need to change it to r/w... and push it to /system/media

Thanks! I forgot to add that I went to media tooLast time I changed my boot animation I had a different file manager that didn't have the option to toggle between r/w and r/o. Thanks again!
