Hey, I made a custom boot animation for my X, and have already added sound in, but the exact sound I want for the animation does not exist.

I basically want one sound to get....... lets say corrupted while it is playing and change into the "Droid" sound. If anybody can do this, or recommend a decent (free or very low cost) audio editor that will allow me to mesh 2 different files together, that would be amazing.

Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)

Free, and on par with programs like Sony's Sound Forge. Editting, Special FX and all.

Its great to use for ringtones as well.

Would you know the best effect or filter to apply to get the job done? Im trying to get the old apple startup sound, have it start the "bong" then get mixed, corrupted some awesome movie sound effect type deal into the "DROID" sound

Sweet success, although I have no experience, and it is still a rough cut of the video, I shall have it up on youtube shortly

nice one.

the audio seems a bit too close to eachother, but I think you got the effect you wanted.

Not sure how I would have done it, but maybe this helps.

instead of the shuffling noice, maybe use sword-slashes to swipe each line of the X through the Apple Logo?
