I checked right before bed; midnight, and sure enough "Updates Available"! Hit the "Install Button" and headed to bed only to awake to Android 2.2! I feel kinda bad for y'all, tho. I only had the phone for 24 hours before getting this update everyone's been waiting for MONTHS for!

My DX updated to 2.2 early this morning.............What's everyone been so excited about? looks a little different and now has Flash capability. Other than that seems like nothing new here.

For me, it is noticeably faster and a lot more stable. No more freezes on voice to text. :)

Reminds me of Christmas as a kid... wanted the Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model air rifle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Ryder_BB_Gun) with a compass in the stock and ended up getting hew pajamas.

At least with the pajamas you didn't put your eye out!

Classic - isn't it? True story - I did get a BB gun one Christmas. I snooped - cut open the wrapping paper with a razor blade and played with the gun days before Christmas. Only problem - I broke the gun. Then, I put it back in the box, taped it shut, and pretended it was broke when I opened it. I still feel guilty to this day.

At least with the pajamas you didn't put your eye out!

You're one of those annoying people that has to bash anything others are excited about aren't you?

I'm still waiting for my 2.2 to be pushed. How many of you don't have it yet?

I update mine last night. Finally, 2.2! Honestly, I did not see much improvement? The whole process took about 10-15 minutes. One thing I notice is that the lock button on the screen (the one you slide to the right) is still kind of wably and doesn't "flow" right. There's some lag. I had hope that was going to be fixed. Is there a benchmark comparing 2.1 vs. 2.2 on the Droid X?

I second Juny.... Very slow in responding... and not a nice flow to it

I don't get 3G at home (at least not inside!) so I waited until I got to work yesterday to update. It took 5-10 minutes, including the restart.
Not bad at all.

Probably my device, but when I go to check for updates, I am presented with a screen that states "check for updates not available at this time, please try again later"
If I interpret this correct my device is incapable of checking for updates, if any are available
Time to contact Verizon, again...
