It's a truly exciting time for Android Tablet news lately. I'm sure your tired of hearing about the Samsung Galaxy Tab and your ready for it to 'just get here' already. So am I. But until then, we have to make do with the flood of news that has been coming out recently instead.

So, here's another android tablet news roundup to consolidate all that news into a single post.

First up is the first "Commercial" for the Galaxy Tab that shows it in use throught people's daily lives... really similar to an iPad commercial but without the same production quality.

We haven't reported on it yet but there have been some information floating around about the HTC "Tablet PC" which will be running Android. Well, Engadget posted some "concrete" information sourced from DigiTimes (http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/20/htc-said-to-have-placed-production-order-with-pegatron-for-mythi/) that claims that Pegatron already has a build order in place... so it's just a matter of time.

HTC has been on fire lately producing a number of high quality phones running the Android OS on all the different carriers. We can only hope that level of high quality will remain in the tablets they build as well.

Gizmodo also had a piece on it here and also claims that it will be powered by a Nvidia Tegra2 processor combination... which is quite potent. But, intel also released information earlier that the Tegra2 can't do 1080p decoding... so let's hope that's not a limitation. (It did come from a competitor, so take it with a grain of salt)

I saw something the other day that reminded me of Droid Tablets vs the iPad.

Answer this question:

What is that blanket thing, that looks like a robe on backwards, called?

Did you answer Snuggie? Yep... You and 99% of America.

Did they invent it? Were they the first or even 2nd to copy it? NOPE. There was the "Freedom Blanket" and then the "Slanket" Yet what Oprah and Good Morning America talked about was the Snuggie.

iPad is the same way. Marketing.

I like the idea of an Android Tablet - if nothing more than curiosity. It is on my list of gadgets to acquire - I know there will be many similarities to what I already have.

Looks very appealing, I just hope they get the price right, and not limit the device for purchase via the US carriers. Also, a statement provided by a Google executive (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2368979,00.asp) has me on the fence right now.

Not sure if anyone else knows this but the Galaxy Tab is dropping on November 11th @ Verizon (http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab/SCH-I800BKAVZW)- Bestbuy (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+Galaxy+Tab+3G+%28Verizon+Wireless%29/1411045.p?id=1218267328754&skuId=1411045) also has a listing and a hefty price tag of $599.99, way to much for this device. We all know it will support Flash, but does anyone happen to know if it also support's Java?
