Original found abandoned in some brush and title given to the new people. They had the motor rebuilt, did a spring over lift, swapped out both axles and transmission.
Did some number searching....
Jeep specs
Motor.... Kaiser 225 v6
Carburetor... Rochester 2G
Rear axle... Dana44
Front axle... Dana 20
Transmission..... Muncy sm420

Have to order a carb and possibly a master cylinder.
Got the rear tail lights, and turn signals working.
One step at a time. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/18/uve8y7at.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/18/udugyged.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/18/baqequga.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/18/egeruden.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/18/ahytajet.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/18/4y5ebe3u.jpg

Clothednblack thats impressive... I did the same thong in argentina, was real sad when i had to sell it. But lucky for me the inflation in Argentina is so bad due to certain agreements between certain central banks..... Anyway i made a great return.Cars can be great investments in argentina... Ha ha ha...

Looks to be mostly a cosmetic job and maybe some electrical work. Hopefully that's all it is. Looking forward to seeing the project pics

If it's a trail rig rhino line it inside and out, build a roll cage, air lock the pumpkins, skid plates, etc, etc, etc. Oh, wheel the piss out of it.

Carburetor is rebuilt and back on. Finished it last night, but made a mistake. I adjusted the float while multitasking, flooded the carb and some went straight to the intake :banghead:. Did the adjustment again and fuel level is now correct. Here is the best part.....

11pm
Turning it over..... Starts..... Wants to die.... Giving it just a little throttle...... It's getting better.... BANG!...... I jumped. Dang backfire! I don't miss those except from the movie "Uncle Buck"

haha, maybe once the bike is finished for a beer. I actually want to rebuild my carbs so I can learn a thing or 50.

Big table, lay down some plastic and disassemble in a left to right pattern, and clean everything with carburetor cleaner (outside) your new kit will come with a exploded view of where everything goes. Be cautious taking it apart, some pieces need to be reused because the kit doesn't include them. If you have questions you know where I am :)

Also take them apart SLOW! there are jets and springs in there that can easily be dropped or come flying out. Also handy to have a pen and paper handy and keep track of how many "turns" the jets are in..... Shouldn't have to pull them for a rebuild always but I do just to clean them.... The holes are tiny enough 1 grain of sand will block flow enough to cause the engine to run like crap....

Note Uno Uno.

This project has grown over the past few days and has become a future money pit, and that's not in my budget. Got someone coming Saturday to look at it and possibly take it home. Was really hoping to get this on the road. :banghead:

That sucks. Sell it and move on to next project. Good luck with the sale.

That stinks, but better to part ways now than after you've lost your money!
