Can you overclock your Droid X like you would a PC? I still got mines kicking around cause I am outta work and cannot afford to upgrade....So I was looking to overclock the thing and possibly root it again.

You can overclock it. You'll have to root it in order to do that. Do you know what android version you are running?

Android 2.3.4

1. root with [ROOT] Framaroot, a one-click .apk to root (http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-hacks/50098-621-one-click-root-method-device.html#post617975)
2. Install/Use Droid modified X or 3 Bootstrap
(https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ds6tlVHsAy9ZwkswQ8OZdclJRfd3YPXVSQBc0ofsZQE/edit#) a. Go to App Drawer
b. Tap on Droid 2, X or 3 Bootstrap app
c. Tap on Bootstrap Recovery,
d. When you see superuser popup (allow/deny), select allow
e. Tap on OK when you see popup that says Success

3. download wizardof0's hijacked bootmenu , links for:
stock 2.3.x

Click Droid 2 Bootstrap app, Tap on Reboot Recovery, phone will automatically reboot to CWM Recovery
(Optional) select wipe cache partition confirm Yes- Wipe Cache

Select Back arrow or press power button
select ‘Install zip from sd card’ (not apply sdcard: update.zip) use camera to select
select ‘choose zip from sd card (not apply sdcard: update.zip)use camera to select
Go to folder where zip is. If you downloaded zip from stock browser and didn't move it, it will be in the DOWNLOAD folder.
Click on the zip you want to install, then yes.
When install is done, select back arrow or press power, and select reboot.
now you can enter bootmenu, before every boot, just press volume down button after you see blue light during reboot

in the bootmenu there are options to overclock, but i have not used them
may want to search the forum for overclock and wizardof0's hijacked bootmenu

Once rooted you have some options for OCing. I always liked JRummy's Root Toolbox. There's a free version in the Play Store. It has many other uses also.
