View Full Version : ClockworkMod Recovery stuck at

Droid X

I have the newest version of Rom Manager. I have the newest version of ClockworkMod Recovery selected for the DroidX in the Rom Manager app. It reads "current recovery" and "latest recovery" as both being, which is what clockworkmod.com shows as the highest version for the Droid X. When I boot into ClockworkMod Recovery, it always reads

And to make matters worse, my camera button doesn't seem to work. When I press any other button on the phone to make a selection, the screen goes dark until I press the button again, then the screen comes back on but the selection still isn't made. I've tried the trick of pressing volume down until it read "back button is enabled", but I still can't make a selection. It's driving me mad!

So, two questions... how can I get ClockworkMod Recovery to actually run version And how can I make selections without the camera button?

I'm just toying around with the device. It's not my main phone. I'm lucky enough to have a new S4 running Cyanogen and it rocks the house!

updating cwm with rom manager is hit or miss just
install Droid 3 bootstrap, it works great on the droid x, and you can use the power button to select

if phone is on 4.5.604
you may want to just flash 4.5.621, or you may have issues with wifi and other things not working correctly
Using RSD Lite to flash a .SBF (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QZtlBNvzefJXL1QAM5FJWJWlXHmy4skwmya-XaTM5QE/edit#bookmark=id.g5r4paa532al)
then re-root with framaroot (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276)

edit: fixed link
