Recently moved my Droid X to straight talk love the service and love my droid but my phone will not update and will not upload simple pictures and is also lacking on sending texts. What can I do to get my Droid back to top performance. When I try to update the system it states its not available. HELP!

don't think you want to update, may lose your flash to straight talk
unless you you mean update the PLR, did you try dialing *22890 and *22891

also may want to check apn settings

Name TracFone_US
Apn Sprint
username Sprint
Mmsc http:// mms.plspictures.com
Mms proxy 68.28.31.7
MMS port 80
MCC 310
MNC 00
Authentication type PAP or CHAP
Apn type *
Apn Protocol IPv4

backup current settings with APN Backup & Restore (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.APNBackupRestore&hl=en)
use settings above
or download apns-ST-Sprint.xml (http://www.mediafire.com/view/?34lvwqe87fqn183)
and restore downloaded apn backup

from [APN] How to Setup Straight Talk Data and MMS on Android, iPhone and Windows Phone (http://unleashedprepaids.com/thread-7364-post-57805.html#pid57805)

Thanks for the help but could you break this down more simply or any other suggestions. I still can not get updates or even download new applications on this phone since switching service to straight talk.

How did you move your droid x to straight talk? I'm strongly considering moving mine to it.

I recently switched also with my DX. Everything worked fine after *22890 programing and setting up gmail account so I can download and update apps.

Go to straight talk website click on how it works, then bring your own phone. Hit cdma and enter info for your phone. Or just call Walmart and ask.

Yeah I don't have money that I'm willing to spend. Anyone else have a manual way of doing this?
