Okay so im on a Kindle Fire HD 7 inch and i accidentally messed up Build.prop in an attempt to allow the play store to download incompatible apps, i still have the original in my computer but i need to replace the old one to get out of bootloop. So i run CMD and put in
ADB
ADB devices
ADB push D:\android\Build.prop(ORIGINAL) /system
then i get Failed to copy....read-only file system, i am a total newb when it comes to ADB, didn't even know about it until i messed it up. Any help would be appreciated had this device a total of 4 days and its already screwed, would send it back but i'm sure they'd figure out i rooted...

moved to off topic....

and you'll need to mount the system as read/write... try entering this command then push the original build prop

adb shell mount -o remount,rw system

Did that and got something about i cant mess with it because it is a read only file system, found similar issues on other websites but they all seem to figure it out and not explain how they figured it out -,-
