I've been researching this. Straight Talk has a plan where you can bring your own phone( GSM ) and use their networks for 45.00 a month. My average bill per month with Verizon is 380 a month( 4 lines ) . I use ALOT of data. I tether my Droid X to my TV and watch Netflix and Hulu plus all the time. Last Mont alone I used almost 60 gbs of data. My wife is also constantly on YouTube. My biggest worry is the data. I have researched this and have read that ST throttles data after 4gb of data is used. I guess what I'm wondering is , should I sacrifice my high monthly bill for a lower one and just pony up the 25 bucks more for a home internet connection?

Yeah...might not hurt to get a landline-based Internet connection.

This is why Verizon no longer offers unlimited data.

The droid x will not work as its gsm... If you had a milestone it might

Post script: and Ya.... A land line would be a good investment.... It'll give you much faster streaming as opposed to 3g

I was going to buy the GS2 from AT&T and order their sim card. Save money and get a land line for internet. You can also port the GS3 and IPhone 4witch is what my wife and oldest daughter want.
