Ok so I rooted with no prob at all. However when Itried to back up with cwm recovery, it wont boot to it,just boots to stock recovery. When I try to reflash cwmit says downloaded successfully but doesn't say anythingabout flashing it, I read some posts about bootstrapperso I downloaded DROID2 bootstrapper and still not working.is there some set of special directions I should followor maybe uninstall and reinstall?

Open d2 and select the top option bootstrap recovery, wait for it to say ok, then select reboot recovery, that should take you to the proper recovery.

Ok so I'm an idiot... Clothednblack was right on ,just had to run bootstrapper... However now I really messed up...I was trying to load liquid smooth Rom from SD and after formatting "system",instead of pairing from SD card,I accidentally pushed reboot system... Now phonewon't go past red Motorola logo, when I try to enter recovery its stock not clockwork. And it has atitanium backup link but when I try to load it, it just goes to previous screen. So basically bricked I guess... Can someone please give me some idea what I can try?

If you can get into stock recovery try wiping data and rebooting. If that doesn't work you will need to SBF. Do you remember what system version you were on?

You can try to do a factory reset in stock recovery

Step 1. Make sure your device is fully powered down/off Step 2. Press and hold the Volume Down, as well as the Home Button on your device Step 3. While keeping those 2 buttons pressed down, also press on the Power button Step 4. Once you see your screen flicker/flash (note: You might have to press a key on your device to see that you are actually booted into the Stock Recovery). Step 5. Once completed you should see a triangle, hit both volume buttons and then select factory reset

Ok, do you know how to SBF? If not maybe CnB can get you the links. :) I'm not near a computer at the moment. You'll either need to use RSD Lite and the .621 file or the .604 1KDS method.

Ok back to a computer. Here we go. 2 ways of doing this.

Download the .621 file from here (all the way at the bottom) https://sites.google.com/site/motosbf/droid-x-sbf-files
T (https://sites.google.com/site/motosbf/droid-x-sbf-files)hen download RSD Lite from here and follow the instructions http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-sbf/12015-complete-droid-x-sbf-flashing-guide.html Ignore the files they are using but the process should be the same. Make sure to install the drivers onto your computer and if you have trouble downloading the RSD Lite version from there just google "download RSD Lite." There are newer versions and some work better for people than others.

Or

Go here http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-sbf/23638-linux-solution-your-windows-rsd-lite-problems.html and download the .604 Milestone 1KDS file and burn it to a disc (like you did when you rooted the phone.) Boot your computer from the disc and it will SBF your phone. If you use this method you will be on the Milestone Kernel. You will want to flash the X .621 kernel back after the process is complete. Read through this page here http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-general-discussion/45783-important-info-621-update.html and in the second post there are the links you will need.

Good luck and post back any questions you have.

I would personally use RSD and go for 621. You wont have to worry about your kernel or anything.
