Wouldn't surprise me if the DX is on the list. I mean why not? The DX was abandoned after GB and development for it is on its last breath.

Yeah, the FAQ and Supported Devices pages seem to be down, lol.

Aww, from another site: The PHOTON Q 4G LTE (http://androidcommunity.com/tag/photon-q/) will be the first device to support bootloader unlocking, and hopefully the RAZR HD (http://androidcommunity.com/tag/motorola-droid-razr-hd/) will soon follow. We’ll update when we know more.

So maybe this is just for newer devices.

Supported Devices The following devices are part of our initial roll out of the bootloader unlock program; additional devices will be added progressively.

Photon Q 4G LTE (https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a)
Sprint

Other Supported Devices Previous devices released with an unlockable bootloader, and supported through Motodev at the following URL:https://developer.motorola.com/products/bootloader/

Motorola RAZR developer edition
Europe

Motorola XOOM
Verizon

Motorola XOOM Wifi
Worldwide

Out of luck guys at the moment :( That's from their site.

I've seen this discussion in other places and from all indications it looks like it will only be for future devices. Motorola has stated they have no interest in unlocking older devices. Never give up hope though I guess.

I expect nothing to come of this for the X. Not like it'll matter much, 2nd Init takes care of a lot of the need for an unlocked bootloader, but it would help solidify some things, and eliminate bugs.

on the move..

Hope you love it. I was really attached to my DX, but after a month with my GSIII... I can't even think about going back. The jump in performance is just so enormous.

Seeya over at s3forums and Rootz :) and of course swing by to say hello here.

Now root that bad boy, unlock your bootloader, back up your IMEI, and get flashing. :)

If the X is able to have it's boot loader unlocked, won't it make it easier to brick it?

Then I'm glad that X and Xena both have locked bootloaders.

I was attached to my X as everyone knows, but once I got my RAZR Maxx HD, I felt there was no going back. I still have Mum's old DX, Xena. She sitting here right next to me. I still take my X everywhere I go
