I'm rooted on version 2.3.3. I just got an update pop up for system 4.5.621.en.US. will taking this update unroot me?

Yes it will. Though there is a root method for that version, there's no way of going back to any system version prior. I'd recommend staying where you're at.

You want to do something about it, but I can't remember the exact steps. It will eventually catch you off guard and do it automatically. You can freeze updater in titanium backup (or similar app), but I think you might want to get rid of the file it downloaded. I don't know where it is, but someone here does I'm sure.

Clear cache and it will remove the downloaded file

I also have the same update binging at me, though I've never taken the time to root my Droid X (have a Cliq & cruz R101 that I've rooted) I have however flashed my Droid to Cricket... if I install the update, is it going to mess with the flashing?
