I used1kds to SBF. I am currently on version 2.3.3 kernel 2.6.32.9 and I am trying to get into bootstrap revovery. It keeps denying access. I have droid 2 bootstrapper which I believe is what I needed. Whats the problem? USB debugging is off.

Id like to try a new ROM but wanted to backup first.

What exactly is happening? Try going into Manage Applications through the settings menu and force stopping D2 Bootstrap then reopen it. Is the D2 listed in the superuser app?

Denies Superuser access. Yes I am rooted. I have done this before on the old froyo.

I will try the force close.

No luck on the force close. D2 is not listed in the superuser app.

Try a force close, then reboot the phone. What's your system version or what are you running right now?

How do you delete permissions for bootstrap in superuser?

I deleted the log and same issue.

You could try a factory reset. I hate to go to that but usually force stopping the application will prompt you to allow permissions when you reopen it.

on the move..

You referring to the factory reset in the settings menu?

You could do that or boot into stock recovery.

superuser has two columns side by side
allow and log, allow column should be shown first by default
with the log on the right, was boot strap listed in both, none, or one

edit:also check setting automatic response should be prompt or if you want set to allow, but don't leave that way for very long

Finally success. I redid my 1kds SBF and rerooted. I now get the superuser permission for bootstrap. In the process of backing up. Hopefully I dont have as much trouble flashing a new ROM.

Now which ROM to try!!!

Thanks to all those that tried to help
