Isnt there a way to keep widgets from automatically downloading to phone when we download apps?

Thought I had seen it somewhere but can not find the setting anywhere.

Thanks!

Open the market, hit the hard menu button>settings>uncheck "auto-add shortcuts"

I forced Google play into downloading on my phone. Then I went to the settings and fixed it.

Don't know why my mkt was an old version... Is the new Google Play thanks to a little trick I learned on another forum.

Sure wish there was a way to stop the widgets from downloading. It's not a big deal, just irritating. I almost never use a widget. Should be a prompt asking for approval to dload. Worse yet is the fact that I can't even delete them! There is no setting to stop them in my play store. It is the newest one, the one with TV shows, magazines, and such. Another update that takes one two steps back.
