hey folks

I have the Car Mount for DROID X, DROID X2 - Motorola USA - Compatibility - Motorola Mobility, Inc. USA (http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/US-EN/Consumer-Product-and-Services/Mobile+Phone+Accessories/Car-Accessories/Car-Mounts/Car-Mount-for-DROIDx-US-EN) but need to replace the disk that has the sticky stuff that the mount suction cup attaches to. Basically the sticky stuff got worn then peeled off. I would rather not buy a whole new mount kit if possible.

Any ideas ?

Should be able to just use some double sided tape to attach it to the dash again

Would that be strong enough though ?

Where would I find it ? Home Depot ? Lowe's ?

I'm sure lowes or home depot would have some neigh-industrial strength double sided tape

Yeah one of those command strips supposedly holds up to 3 or 4 lbs I think.

3m should have industrial strength stuff maybe even industrial Velcro

I have one of these installed also and it works fine except on mine the suction cup comes unattached, or rather loses suction and drops my phone in the floor.

Are you using the original disk with the sticky stuff ?

I used superglue on my dash, since the suction cup wasn't holding well.
