Hi had my droid x for a year, was rooted but did absolutely nothing except download some apps that require root. I was just using my droid when it froze, then rebooted itself. I did a battery pull and it will get to the droid x eye for awhile, spin a bit, then the screen goes blank. Any advice is welcome, since this just randomly started.

have ya tried rebooting into recovery and clearing the cache partition?

Yes, I've done that, with no success. When the phone reboots it goes through all the motions, and then gets to the red eye, and it's like the screen just goes to sleep. It dims, then screen is off, and then totally unresponsive. If I don't do anything, sometimes it will go back to the droid eye and spin around, but then the screen goes blank again.

have you tried a data wipe?
