The other day I installed the liberty3 2.0 rom on my droidX. Everything seems to be fuctioning fine except for one slight problem, if I turn the phone on while it is plugged in and charging the phone enters CWM recovery and stays there leaving me unable to select any of the options. The volume button moves the cursor up and down but the power button does not function as the select button, I hit the button and the options go away but the phone does nothing.

Any suggestions?

Clockwork uses the camera button to select. Stock recovery uses the power button.

on the move..

Ah I see, well that explains part of the problem. Any idea why it starts in Recovery when I turn it one while it is connected to the charger?

I was told a while ago it's a "safety measure " if something was screwed up.
Now if that's true who knows. It could also be part of the hijack process used because of the locked bootloader. Is any of that true? I don't know haha I just take it for what it is haha

So it is supposed to do that. I thought I did something wrong.

The Vortex ROM has an option in the vortex toolbox to fix this. Its a better ROM anyway IMO
