View Full Version : Contacts not showing up

I need some help.
I just recently installed cyanogen. I have all of my contacts on my Gmail account.
It seems as if half or so of my contacts actually show up.
I told it too sync to that account.
He funny thing is if someone texts me the phone will actually have that persons name as if he contact is there but if I do a search for that contact I get nothing.
Any ideas?

Anyone with any ideas?
The contacts are in the phone if I "search for all contacts" but by searching or scrolling through the list normally they do not show up.

I was having this same problem (but am still running stock). Turns out that on our DroidX (maybe all androids?), the contacts only default to display the "My contacts" group.

Fix the symptom (through gmail) for individual contacts
- Flag the appropriate contacts to be sure that they are in "My contacts"

Fix the cause (on phone) to show all contacts
- Go to your contacts
- Menu button, then select "Diplay options"
- Select your gmail address(es) where you maintain your contact info
- Check the "All other contacts"
- Note that this will bring in everything, so I have also checked the "Only contacts with phones"
