How do I change my default media players to apps I've downloaded?

I've used ES File Explorer to long press, open as, choose the player I want, and checked 'always use' or something like that.

My problem is, everytime I use DLNA to connect to my computer to stream a video, it always opens in the default video player, which doesn't support the codec of the video I'm trying to play.

I've downloaded, and am 'trying' to use Mobo player for all videos.

Twonky or iMediaShare may allow you to set the DLNA output

Does the default media player settings not apply to DLNA?

I don't have a Wifi-ready TV. I'm just trying to stream videos from my computer to phone only.. for now.

Meh, I just used ES File Explorer to browse the contents of my computer and played the videos from there.
