I have a droid x running GB. I'm rooted, but everytime I try to use Droid X Recovery Bootstrap to install Liberty 3, my phone freezes on the "M" logo. What am I doing wrong?
info as follows:
System ver. 4.5.605
Android version 2.3.3

Unchecked USB debugging if your going to use Droid x bootstrap on gingerbread...
Menu button>settings>manage apps>development

Or use Droid2 bootstrap, if you have it. It seems to play nicer with GB.

Did you check the md5 sum? Maybe a bad download?

Using astro file manager (found in market ) long press download and hit details then wait a few seconds and the md5 sum will show

Sounds like a bad download.

Now, I have a new problem. When i try and download the "droid x bootstrap" program, it just constantly reboots my phone!

It reboots after downloading from the market or when you try and downlaod from the market?

Yes! It reboots when it finishes installing, then tries to install again, and keeps rebooting...

And when I reboot, now, it instantly goes into CWM recovery...grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

May have to factory reset. Another option would be to download it on the computer and then on to the phone. Try to insall it that way.

I don't know what I did, but it got fixed. Now I'm really gun shy about trying to flash another rom!
