HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
im a total noob when it comes to this stuff , a friend of mine put the leaked version of gingerbread on my droid x when it was first leaked and i want to wipe my DX and put a new version of gingerbread on it. i know there are a lot of threads on how to do this already but to be honest i try to read and understand them and none of them make much sense not to mention there are like 30 different ways to go about doing this.

a little background if it might help, its the first leaked version of gingerbread on a droid x and for some reason i have never been able to root it. i want to make sure i have my apps and data saved but since i cant root it i cant use titanium backup so im at a total loss of what to do there also.

i would really appreciate some help in wiping my DX and putting a new version of gingerbread on there (or if u have any suggestions on a good but easy rom to use)

System version is 4-5-573-MB810-en-Verizon-us

With it being a ginger leak... You would be able to use ginger break to root it

Sbf will bring your phone back to out of the box state like when you first got it..4.5.605 is the latest build...there is currently only a .602 SBF file, what you do is you can follow the Sbf link in my sig...grab the .602 ISO, burn it to a disk, this will bring your phone back to stock, re-load it back up, take the 605 OTA (over the air) update if you want to..and then you can re-root..with the D3-one click,

As far as how to get rid of the bloat ( my Verizon and other Verizon installed Apps ) you can use titanium backup found in the market and "freeze" the Apps that you want to disappear

As far as those apps... Most roms do not have those apps installed... And liberty is a great rom
