I have been with the 2nd Unit roms for a while and im just sick of all the bugs. The reason for having a custom rom is to remove the bloat to get faster perfomace with better battery life. Everything also has to work so i just want to know, as of today 12/8/2011 which rom is the best that meets all of the following:

1. BATTERY
2. SPEED
3. EVERYTHING HAS TO WORK

please note the most current version...

I like apex 2.0 rc4. I also had a good experience with shuji.

Stock Android, Version 4.5.605 + BloatFreezer (free right now in the market) + Android Overclock = super fast, super smooth, and a long lasting battery. Throw in some NinjaMorph to play with the icons, and it'll look good too.

I lost the notification bar when I first installed rc1 but it came back after a restart and haven't had the problem anymore.

Yes try a reboot like xman suggested that should get your notification bar back.

Vortex rc1 for me...it's great to have a phone that does not crash or reboot in its on own and so on..it just works .Vortex is what should have been on the x when it came out of the box IMO...

I don't have that many bugs on CM7GB or MIUI (either version ICS or DXC's), In fact, I only miss hdmi out, and I've never used that anyway. I've always liked liberty and Apex, I did try Vortex for a couple days too. Honestly though, I get about the same battery life on any of those roms. I am in an area with poor coverage most of the time though. Generally the blurry non-2nd init's did have bettery battery life, but I think the gap is very close right now. Even though Team Liberty has done an excellent job incorporating features that I like in CM7 and MIUI, blur based roms still can't compare customization wise. And probably speed wise.

Just my 2 cents. To each their own. I am grateful, we are having this discussion in the first place, grateful we have choices. Which is one thing that made sticking with Linux Distro's hard for me, there was always a new one coming out I wanted to try.

after a month long run on miui 1.10.21 I switched to liberty. battery life is comparable with tweaks but the zip is what I was looking for. I miss the ui, all the customization and whatnot but I liberty is much quicker.

also glad I have market compatibility back, which I was unable to cure while on miui.
