If you need to turn your phone in for warranty ... sbf to .602, wipe data and cache, take .605 ota... all traces of root and roming will be gone... don't forget to keep your SD card:)

602 and 605 sbf works for X2 also? Thought that was for the X?

It is. Do NOT USE 602 sbf on an x2 To unroot you have to either use the x2 sbf located here http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x2-support/37159-guide-how-sbf-x2.html

Or the root method you used usually has an unroot method (droid 3 root has an unroot option in the script)

Happens when you try to update it? Or when you open maps?

Go to settings / applications / manage apps ( or however it's worded on x2) clear cache and data for maps. See if it helps

Afaik, it's a known x2 bug. It should only happen when you're standing still though. As long as you have a direction of travel going stuff like turn by turn directions will still work fine.
