Rooted this past weekend with d3 one click root and it worked pretty good. But I can't sync my facebook with the phone and when I press the update software it says I need to create a motorola service account. I tried deleting my facebook account from my phone and signing in again but nothing. The motorola service notification tries to load then says its taking too long. Everything else works on my phone just want the latest versions and my facebook synced. I had heard rumors that 2.3.4 may be coming. help please!

try installing rom manager and booting into clockwork recovery and wiping cache only and reboot

Ok I'm new at this so it says I need the clockwork mod. I assume download from the market? And once I clear the cache will any data be lost that I might need?

D2/DX Bootstrap is need to actually flash clockwork recovery, ROM Manager only allows you to switch the recovery version.

So I needed to download the dx bootstrap then go to rom manager and use clockwork for d2 and clear cache. Is that correct? Sorry just don't want to mess anything up. Lol

No problem, I'd just get D2 Bootstrap Recovery in the market, flash that, then you can reboot into clockwork recovery through ROM Manager or the Bootstrap Recovery app.

Well its not the app its the motoblur that syncs to your contacts. I don't know how to make it realize that it is signed in. when I click the facebook account under accounts it doesn't bring up any options, just my user name and password

That didn't work either. Its very frustrating lol. It won't let me remove the account or go into options its like its stuck. None of the contacts in my contacts list have pictures because it won't sync and I can't pull up facebook contacts on my contact list

sounds like you will have to do a factory reset

using d2 bootstrap wipe data and cache reboot

use titanium back up or my backup root to back up your apps

WAIT before you do that try toggling airplane mode on and then off
