I posted this in the droid x2 section yesterday and I apologize. I seen on youtube where a guy has rooted his phone to ice cream sandwich. I have rooted my phone to Gingerbread and so after seeing the ice cream sandwich.

He rooted from ginger bread to ics?
That doesn't make sense... Ice cream isn't released yet... By for the x there is a icx rom which is an ice cream themed rom based off of 605

What is the best rom out there and since I rooted my phone to Gingerbread what would I need to do to put a different rom on my phone? I seen the liquid and I thought that rom was really nice....Any suggestions?

Liquid is nice... But lacks on battery... If you wanna try that type if rom... Ssx 2.2 should be coming out soon... Or cm7 (unofficial nightlies by revnumbers) or miui..
Or you could give apex 2.0 rc4 or shuji 2.2 or icx or vortex

Ok first of all you don't root your phone to anything. Rooting is simply the act of gaining access to the files of your phone your not supposed to have access to. So in other words your on gingerbread and you're rooted.

There are some awesome roms out there just depending on what your preferences are. It isn't difficult at all as long as you read and follow the directions completely. Study the different roms and compare. Then when you mess up like we all do these great folks will be here to help you out.

Yes you would need droid2 bootstrap and once you figure out which rom you want to try there is a thread in this forum for each rom with installation instructions. You can do a search and read up on all the roms then make your decision. Then if you need more help before installing any rom just give a shout out someone here will help you

I thought you were already rooted? If you are already rooted on gingerbread 602 or 605 you can install shuji 2.2 i believe that's the latest but i haven't checked. Yes you'll need droid 2 bootstrap to install. If your rooted on 602 or 605 your ready...
