Gingerbread bricked my x, reinstalled os using a linux boot disc. Problem is I can not turn of the hepatic feed back off for my touch pad, it did this right before the phone bricked and after the update. Any suggestions I have factory reset and wiped clean several times. And I suppose my x is now semi rooted.

For your touch pad? Are you referring to the feedback for your keyboard?

It so, push the menu hard button, settings, language and input, multitouch keyboard, and disable haptic feedback there

Did that several times, Verizon no help and Motorola can't help either. It was like that before it bricked and now with a rooted os. :-( I dislike gingerdread :-D

Have you tried using a different keyboard? Like Swype or swift key?
