Well I love how taking out the battery allowed the update to install. I hate those noob moments ~__~ Gingerbread 2.3.4 I has it =D
I'm in love with the screen on animation <3 Yes I know I'm such a child XD
I lost root but, running "DROID 3 easy root script v7" gave me root access again.

Okay, this is very strange. I update my wife's X2 last night, which has been stock from the get go. After the update I notice that when turning off the screen, it now does the CRT animation. I thought, "Sweet, they must have added it to the stock ROM". When I got to work and talked to my coworkers about the new CRT thing, they tried it on their updated X2s but got nothing.

Any ideas?

She's completely stock, and has received both the OTA updates.
