Hello

I wanted to try the current build of cm7 2011-09-19 but it says to "make sure to wipe CM Settings app data via app management in settings" and I dont see how to do this I tried wiping cache and installing but it caused force close of some settings choices. So clearly I missed a step.

Thanks

-Gun

there is actually a new one out.. as of last night.... it's 2011-09-25b

and all it's saying is after you flash... before you can tweak the new status bar settings... go to settings/applications/manage applications/"all" tab... scroll down to cyanogenmod settings... and clear data for it...

and don't worry... you won't loose your settings...

Edit: if you wanna use the latest nightly... here it is

yes each one is stand alone.

All you need is to be on a clean GB .602 operating system.

I would wipe user data , and both caches for the initial install. Make a system backup and use titainum backup to back up all your apps. Although im not a 100% sure that a full system wipe is required for the initial install of CM7.

So, take the above zip and FLASH it?!
Right, doing all the wipes. I am on 602 so just wipe and flash.?!

Flash it, then wipe cache/data and delvik cache, then reboot.

Yea I was wondering about the nightlies. Would I flash those just as if I was flashing a new rom?

If you are running something else then yes. If you are already running it then you just need to wipe cache and CM Settings data like this thread is talking about. And in particular they are talking about Revnumber's CM7-GB nightlies in here.

Yea, I'm already running cm7. Just wasn't sure on installing the nightly.

Yup just cache and CM Settings data and flash away. And obviously whichever one you need, official one or unofficial one which is GB.

ROM Toolbox, from JRummy. That's where RevNumbers is putting up the (un)official GB nightlies for download. That way, you don't have to depend on the Rootzwiki thread. You can get the free or paid version from the Market.
