Missed that this made the switch. I guess I don't make it over to RW often enough.

The merger has happened? We can now get it through ROM Manager?

I didnt think OMFGB was on ROM Manager. As far as I know CM7 has not yet if thats what you mean.

CM7, yes. I didn't think so, but wanted to be sure.

No worries. And I am not really sure the best place to keep up to date as far as when it makes the switch. I check RW periodically but I figure someone will start a thread on DXF when it does because I always seem to check the wrong places over there.

Sweet, once my USB cable gets in I have some flashing to do, this was an awesome ROM on the Froyo kernel. The wifi issue may just ruin it for me though...

Or the news gets burried in a post somewhere in the middle of the thing, rather than on the front page (a la, the 9/8 update).

Very true. Not big on the organization. Great site for devs though. And out of curiosity what do you mean by the 9-8 update?

I might have had the wrong date, but there was one nightly that was only put out in a post on page 156 or something. If you didn't know where it was located, you didn't get it as Rev never put it on the front page.

correction gbrinn... he does... sometimes...haha... every few nightlies...

and i just flashed omfgb on the ginger kernel...
looks good... although it either doesn't have the tweaks i remember from the ginger kernel... or they haven't built that to the new kernel...
and one percent doesn't work with it

OK. I see that one on the front page, now. 9/21 is still missing, though.

What do you mean by 602? Is that a stock Motorola Rom? I flashed the 9-21 nightly twice, once with gapps the other without and had to SBF both times. Went to download the 9-13 nightly and saw the 9-22 one so gave it the same try. With two more SBF's I'm running 9-13 until I'm able to figure it out.

I see there's a new SBF out called 4.5.602. So, SBF using the new 602 version then flash the 9-21 nightly?

ya... you have to get on the stock 602 from verizon/motorola... then you root that and then you can flash...
you keeping having to sbf because your on the wrong kernel.. when you get on 602... it will install and boot up just fine

Thanks Nemo! I just found that SBF and downloading it now with the RSD Lite 5.4.4. Why did OMFGB move to the stock kernal?

Nemo aeternamn

because of the locked bootloader... they can't install their own... so we get a better performing kernel... we have to wait till they decide to put one out...

the ginger kernel has better performance and a better battery management

That makes sense, plus a bit of extra battery life doesn't hurt...

Does this keep the updated baseband or do I need to reflash that as well?

when you sbf to 602... so you'll still have the 13p radio baseband

I saw this already mentioned but my wifi is also not working. Probably related. Hope update soon to fix it. I don't wanna have to sbf to get to my 304 back up lol

Finally was able to install the 09-22 nightlies through SBF'ing back to 340 then two part rooted update to 602. Phone works great, except the wifi issue that everyone is talking about. Also, it takes two minutes to get 3G moving at a decent speed. It's running around 100 degrees and it hasn't gone up, but that's a little hot compared to the usual. Anyone else's phone getting hot?

I've got a replacement phone. My other one got up to 122 degrees while on CM7. I'd had a bit of a history of overheating on different ROMs, so I can't attribute it to CM7. My new phone, strictly on CM7 has gotten "warm" but not hot like my last one and no warmer than I would consider normal for the usage I give it.

a 122? That's smokin hot! I deleted a few things from the system folder and the phone's at 93.5 degrees so I'm happy with that. Just worried that psx4droid is going to heat the phone up tremendously...

It's made to reboot if it gets too hot... To protect itself

Mine just locked up. Didn't reboot until I popped the battery.
