View Full Version : Can I unroot without LiveCD or RSD Lite

Titel says is mostly, but im running .602 rooted and i figured u can root it by add SU so can i un root by removing SU ?

you can un-root by installing and running Gingerbreak and choosing un-root (z4root should also do it)

I have been running rooted GB 602 for a while and all has been fine. I saw this thread stated I could use z4root to unroot so I did so thinking I could then get the OTA of 605. Z4 did the uroot just fine but myDroid X still cant accept the OTA update. I was hoping to not SBF because I dont want to loose all my apps, does anyone know if it is possible to get the 605 update without going back to unrooted stock first?

You could reroot, use Titanium Backup and backup your apps/data, then SBF. That way once you get back to rooted you can just restore everything.
