Just wanted to post that I have successfully used the new 602 SBF file posted by P3droid at TBH to SBF back to stock 602 rather than back to froyo since I plan to use a 602 based rom. I was on CM7 for gingerbread and unable to get into CWM. SBF was my only option and seeing the new files available and the new root method for gingerbread I tried it and am now on stock gingerbread 4.5.602. I used RSD 5.44, the sbf file and the updated drivers which installed automatically. I use a windows xp system. It followed the usual pattern. I had a boot loop at the end of the sbf which resolved with data/cache wipe in stock recovery. Sorry cant post a pic since I dont have root yet. Will post when root achieved. There are multiple sites with files available both for SBF and root for gingerbread: here are a few including a video of the root process.:excited: (http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/gingerbread-development-hacking/35634-gb-602-root-start-here-links-all.html)

Downloaded this from the site a little while ago.

Thanks for the confirmation for us, not that I doubted P3 and staff.

Root was easily accomplished using psouzzas method and file. His version automates everything. Once you hook up the phone and it is recognized you simply open the file hit root my phone and it does everything including the reboots. No need to reattach the phone. It installs SU and busybox as well.

Sorry for the poor quality pics.

For fun I sbf'd to froyo and took the OTA and used the one click method and worked flawlessly. Did a quick setup and made backup. Then decided to use tbh sbf and that went through very easy and no problems then ran the one click method and again went flawless. And finally restored backup of 602 I made and no problems. This is great!!!

It really is! I was so impressed at how smoothly it goes. It will make jumping between roms so much cleaner and easier. But only another flaahoholic would call it fun.

Root after the .602 was easy, but I had to disconnect and reconnect my phone at every reboot... Not a huge deal, obviously.

I am with you guys. This worked like a charm and it has effectively taken away my ability to use the lazy excuse.
