Got most of the way through the install and got this message:

Updating BP…
Assert failed: Motorola.update_cdma_bp(“/tmp/rdl.bin”. “/tmp/bp.img”)
E:Error in /sdcard/teamblackhat/602-Odexed-AIO.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted

Anyone have any idea? I renamed the blur updater to .bak earlier and forgot to rename back to apk before i tried to do the update. Is that my issue? Re-booting right now and hoping I'm not bricked. Going to put blur updater back to apk and retry the install.

How did the reboot work for you?

Essentially, the AIO sbf's for you and then installs the system. I highly doubt that the updater is your issue.

Perhaps you should try to redownload the file, and make sure you do it over wifi.

I think I'm just an idiot. I was on .596. I need to be back on Froyo to do the AIO right? So can I just download the 2.2.1 official AIO from them to regress back to there. Then, do the .602 AIO to go to full 2.3 with .602? That makes sense in my head but want to verify.

Yeah, you definitely have to be on .340 or a .340 based rom. You can use their monster zip to get to .340 then flash the .602 AIO.

Thanks. Funny how asking questions and re-reading things makes you feel stupid. I'll update once I have everything working.

Tried to go back to .340. Followed all the instructions in another thread. Now stuck in a bootloop. Help?

Did you try a factory reset from stock recovery? Hold power and home until you see the exclaimation mark, then press search.

Yes, I did. Looks like it is time for me to learn how to SBF.

Check the link in my signature... easiest way to sbf, IMO.

Search for the linux iso method, burn a cd and go to work. It is much simpler than rsd.

RSD Lite worked great. Was very easy and I was back up and running on 340. Then tried to do the install from the TBH app through Clockwork again and now stuck at the "M" logo. Beginning to think 602 is not nearly worth all this trouble. Any suggestions? Getting very frustrated.

Did you be sure to manually format system, data and cache and then mount system, data and cache before flashing? This is what works for me with every one of the aio files.

Almost 100% positive I did that. Did it on my lunch break from work. Now back at my desk and can't access my files. I guess I'll SBF again when I get back home. Thinking of taking the OTA and trying droidmodderx's suggestion for rooting that.

Well, that's always an option... Good luck with the rooting process.

Did the SBF again and took the OTA. All of that worked great. So here's to hoping that I can get root when I get home and use Titanium to get my data back.

So i'm an idiot and ran into the same situation. Now i've got it corrected (i think) but i'm not sure how to see if i'm on .602 or not. Can't seem to find it in the about phone section. Any help?

Settings>about> then the 5th line down-system version. 4.5.xxx
