Incipio Silicrylic Droid X case

Has anyone dropped their DROIDX with this case? Is it strong and protective?

It looks real nice but weak from protecting your phone in a drop.

I use this case, and from what I have seen it is very durable and doesn't add a ton of bulk. I am pretty rough on my phones, so I bought 2...one for work and one for everything else. The one for work I have dropped a decent number of times unfortunately due to talking on the phone and using the calculator quite a bit, which has caused the case to crack in 2 places, one of which actually broke a small piece off. The soft touch coating will also scratch off if it comes in contact with something. I had my phone with me out on the boat and put it in the glove box on top of my keys, and one of them scratched it off. I will take a couple pictures of it right now and put them up to show what I am talking about.

Piece that cracked off

2nd crack (I was pushing it up a little bit to show it a little better). You can see where some of the soft touch material has been worn off here as well.

And the soft touch material that came off.

Keep in mind though that this is after a few months of rough use. My "daily driver" case (which is the same but with a black silicone sleeve) has no signs of wear other than a few small scratches on the back which you can only notice if you really look for them. I am very happy with this case. Holds the phone tight but is very easy to put on and remove, looks good, doesn't add a ton of bulk, and protects the phone extremely well.

All pics taken with my X...still impressed with the picture quality of this phone even though I have had it for 6 months now haha.

Does the case add the "sticky" factor when placing the phone in your pants packet? Know what I mean? lol

Haha I know exactly what you mean and the answer is yes. Its not too bad, but the silicone that is exposed is pretty dang "sticky" when you are putting it into your pocket. Its definitely not as has as many cases I have tried in previous phones but there's a slight "stickyness" to this one. I kind of like it because when I wear loose fitting basketball shorts I don't have to worry about my phone sliding out of my pocket as much.

It ain't sticky! I love this case. It lives in my back pocket, doesn't collect lint, has just the right amount of grip

Haha exactly. I think it has a little stick, but not to the extent that it collects lint or anything. It just doesn't slide in and out of youre pocket without any resistance like the phone does without any case on at all.

No worries Killjoy...you will love this case!

You guys are killing me...lol...I hate sticky cases that stick in my jeans etc. But, for $12 I guess it's worth a shot.

I dropped mine from my treadmill onto a garage floor(concrete) and a portion on the corner cracked. Now it's just sticking out and catches in my pocket. Not so strong in my opinion, I'm looking for another brand...

Very strong case for me. NO chips or cracks and NO sticky factor what so ever.

I bought one last week. I'm going to sell it for whatever I can get for it on ebay tomorrow. It is nice but I dock my phone everywhere and I totally didnt even think of this when I got it.

Also, i dont care what anyone says, it does get fuzzy and it does grip on the pockets. It's not a lot of grip because 90% of the surface is smooth but 10% does grip and it does get linty. Over all, its a nice shell and a nice concept but just doesn't float my boat.
