Did you flash a new rom? It seems like it might be because you flashed a new rom and if you want to change it back many roms will have a toolbox or something where you can change the boot animation. If not, there are some apps you could use to change the boot animation.

you might just have to change locations of the file...
i've had this problem before when i was changing boot animations manually... check for bootanimation.zip... on the root of your phone... in either data/local... or system/media...
you'll need a file explorer with root access... i use ghost commander....
but you'll want the file to be in system/media...
i had problems when the file was in data/local... i moved it to system/media... and it works perfectlt

you could do that... but i think first... you should try maybe installing a different one... pull one from the locations above on a rom you have downloaded... and try putting them in system/media......
and did you see if there was one in data/local?

You can see /data/local with root explorer..

ya... you need a file explorer with root... to get into it with ghost commander... ya just have to add root://. before you put in the location....
so in the local folder... it would read root://./data/local

Try rom toolbox to manage boot animation. Enable it.
