I'm on SSX now, I think this will be my next flash. From what I've read and seen this looks to be pretty legit.

There is a difference between omgb and omfgb. Omgb is minimal removal of blur. Omfgb is aosp so keep that in mind

blur?
omgb and omfgb have zero blur. they are 2nd-init roms. none of the 2nd-init rom have blur.

Hmm...omgb is a lite version of omfgb. That means it wasn't stripped down as much. But hey you may be right. Not sure there is a dx2 version yet. Waiting for a reply from the Dev on that

There is no build for the dx2 as the devs don't have access to a dx2 to build it on. May try to get them a donate phone for that purpose

what does 2nd init mean? Is this along the lines of CM7 and SSX?

Yes. 2nd-init is the exploit used to bypass the bootloader and therefore load what you want. Thus people doing this are not really into adding the blur back :)

And for the blog from the person that figured this out for dx:

so. Going from CM or SSX, only full wipes and flash?

I havent flashed OMFGB or OMGB. What I do to go between the 2nd-init roms is to format data/cache and then wipe dalvik cache (which is redundant when you format cache but it makes me feel better). Then I flash the appropriate zip. Always go read the OP. I think SSX required a prep zip file first if you were not coming from stock 340. I have a nandroid of stock 340 so I went to it prior to SSX. Once you have your 2nd-init rom installed and configured, you can make a nandroid. From there you can bounce between nandroids of froyo and 2nd-init roms by simply restoring nandroids. It's easy and if you never go into moto's GB world then you'll never have to SBF (well, never as long as you follow OP instructions)

Hi guys,

I'm really really liking this ROM. Props to the dev for making a nice, stable build of what appears in every sense to be pure Android. I'm currently running 1.2.2 and it's great. I just have one quick question. It was my understanding that Open Source Gingerbread had the ability to dismiss individual notifications in the notification panel, as opposed to needing to "clear all" each time. I have not been able to figure out how to do this in OMGB 1.2.2. Is there something I'm missing? Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks guys. Droid X Forums is the best!

I've never used OMGB but i believe the way to clear individual notifications was to swipe them from the left to right or from right to left

I have tried to do both directions and neither is working. Maybe it is supposed to work like that and it's just a bug. I don't know, I just thought that I would bring it up.

No. OMGB is for froyo kernel only right now. If you want to use it, you have to sbf to .340.

But OMFGB is on the gingerbread kernel, so you can flash that one on .596 or .602 or .605
Here is a link to the OMFGB thread http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/omfgb/33589-rom-aosp-custom-gingerbread-omfgb-1-3-1-nightlies.html

(http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/omfgb/33589-rom-aosp-custom-gingerbread-omfgb-1-3-1-nightlies.html)I wouldnt bother flashing the newest nightly though. There are some major bugs, but they are being worked on and an update is expected soon.
