There is no bootanimation folder, it should be placed in /data/local. If the local folder isn't there then try making it and placing the bootanimation.zip in it.

Look in the /system/media folder, that's where the bootanimation.zip is located.

What happens when you open settings>chevyno1 tools>scripts, is there a boot animations section? What happens when you open it?

Easiest way to fix and test is to go into /data/chevyno1/ and use your file explorer to create a new folder called bootanimation. Then drop a couple different animations in there, go back and check your chevy tools to see if they are there

This is an SSX trick. First post here

Easy Bootanimation changes
Drop all your non-flashable bootanimation zip files into /data/chevyno1/bootanimations. You can name them whatever descriptive name you want.
Then, go into settings>ChevyNo1 Tools>Scripts>Bootanimations, and there they all are. Select the one you want to use and you're given the option to reboot

Has anyone tried using the the script in Chevy Tools to change the Boot Animation? I tried and now my phone will not switch to landscape mode, regardless what is checked in CyanogenMod Display settings, anyone seen this or know how to fix it?

Edit: I got this working!! When selecting a new boot animation and rebooted, the setting for Auto-Rotate in Display settings in the ChevyNo1 Tools is getting disabled. Once I check it again and do a hot reboot the phone will switch to landscape again.
