Hey everyone. I'm not sure how this is happening but at work, I have a 4G puck that I like to use for streaming my music. It always worked on froyo but it seems like it's not working on any version of GB, going back to 5.88. I'm currently on 596 deodexed.

What happens is that I see the puck, I select it and put the password in. I can't connect to it though because the connect button is grayed out. I have been looking for weeks and I can't find a solution to this. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I should do? I really miss streaming my music.

Actually, I had a similar issue on. 588, at my GF house I used to hit her wifi np on froyo. After. 588 flash, i could detect and enter pword, but no connect again. Never did find a solution though ;-(

Most likely gb isn't compatable with the 4g puck

That's odd because I can use an htc evo as a wifi spot using its 4g.

Try using wps if it its available. Or change the encryption method. What model its it?

I'll try it tomorrow. It's at work so I don't know the model. It's just a Sprint 4G puck.

+1 This was my next guess.

I found the problem. There is a bug in the X's gingerbread build (I assume it's not in the aosp build) imposing wpa's 8 character limit on wep networks as well. Change the password to at least 8 characters and it should be fine.
