Hey everyone, i am curious about GB. I use the wireless tether and this is really the only reason I havent switched yet. Can someone please tell me the easiest way to either get onto a pre-rooted version of GB or Liberty. I am on Liberty 2.0.1 at the moment and have seen some posts about versions being taken away and I was under the assumption that there was a process to flash Liberty... Please keep it simple.

If you have the Liberty Donate Toolbox you can go under nightlies and flash the Gingerbread v0.1 full install to get onto Gingerbread... then from there you can stay on Liberty Gingerbread and move up to v0.7 where all the themes are or go to another ROM.

The only way to get to v.7 is flashing .596 first then v.7 over it. He apparently took down the previous versions from the toolbox. I figured this out after an SBF the other day.

Oh wow... I have the original v0.7 on my SD Card and flashed it right over v0.1 earlier in clockwork without any issues... I think it is because it still registers as v0.6 in about phone and the pulldown bar... but flashing a theme over it got it saying v0.7.

Yes it will be rooted. I would advise you to SBF for a clean install. Then slap Liberty over the top and you'll be one happy person.

I am fine with flashing things but sbf is honestly somewhat scary... I know that there is probably 100 different posts as to how to sbf but if I do this what do I do to sbf?

How would you flash anything without root? You can't that's how..... unless you sbf back to root and flash rooted gingerbread

i looked at my backup notes (great idea) it is stock froyo with root? still ok correct? if so is this correct... resotre stock back-up with root, dl the 2 part zip files onto sd card flash both reboot, phone will now be on gb .596 then liberty donate flash v.07? If I like the .596 stock I assume that I can just stay on it without flashing Liberty right?

Edit: Will DX bootstrapper work for all of this or do I need to get the D2 bootstrapper
